Positive Predictive Value = TP/(TP + FP)

Negative Predictive Value = TN/(FN + TN)

  1. Allows calculations for determining how well a test or practice compares with reality or the gold standard.
  2. T- = Test negative.
  3. T + = Test positive.
  4. FP = False positive.
  5. TP = True positive.
  6. FN = False negative.
  7. TN = True negative.
  8. GS- = Gold standard negative.
  9. GS + = Gold standard positive.
